Martin Kuzaj

Martin Kuzaj has extensive experience in the chemicals industry. From 1986 to 2000, he held several management positions within the Shell Group of companies, culminating in his appointment as the Global Business Manager for Styrene at Shell Chemicals Limited based in London.

From 2000 to 2003, Martin was President/Chief Executive Officer of Steinbeis Packaging Group located near Munich, Germany, and since 2004, he has been an independent Senior Partner consulting in the chemical and financial industries.

Martin will oversee Borealis’ Base Chemicals business, which includes hydrocarbons (feedstock, olefins and aromatics), phenol and acetone as well as melamine and plant nutrients produced by Agrolinz Melamine International.

Having graduated summa cum laude from Marburg University in Germany with a degree in Organic Chemistry, Martin is 50 years old, a German citizen, married and has three children.
