REACH information for suppliers
All Borealis manufacturing operations are certified and approved by local authority requirements, fulfilling local, national and European legislation.
Audits are performed on a regular basis by external bodies (including authorities) to ensure compliance with REACH and CLP regulations.
Suppliers should be aware of Borealis' efforts to continuously improve its Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management System. Quality improvement initiatives are regularly implemented to support this approach to continuous improvement.
As the Safety Data Sheet is the main communication tool in the chemical value chain, suppliers are requested to provide us with updated versions as soon as required by the REACH regulation.
Borealis is a member of several consortia and is working with the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) to define the uses of registered chemical substances under the REACH regulation, helping ensure that these defined uses are workable for Industry.
More detailed information can be found on our Use Communication page.
If you are a non-EU-based supplier to Borealis, you are asked to appoint an European-based representative (called an Only Representative under the REACH regulation), which handles the pre-registration and registration of your substance.
More information can be found on the European Chemicals Agency site.
