deliver on diverse and important end markets that drive the development
of the industrial world (communications, water & electricity
infrastruture, automotive) and have developed a global presence. At the same time, ethics, safety and the environment remain high on the agenda and there is a spirit in Borealis of constantly working on improving how things are done. What also impressed me in my one and a half year as a Commercial Trainee is the way in which our core values is spread out in the organisation, and how many friendly and welcoming people we have in our company!
Also, there is a well trimmed internal process of putting the right people into the right position. This provides opportunities for ambitious people and motivates me to develop even further and take on new challenges.

My current core team consists of people from Austria, Belgium and Finland and everyone has a positive attitude that pushes us to achieve excellent team results.
Furthermore, Borealis encourages an open dialogue where we can state individual opinions or show cross-cultural differences.
Most people are authentic and dare to share their real personalities which results in a stronger, more positive team spirit. This extraordinary team spirit is evident in everything we do and is closely related to our team leadership. What I like in Borealis especially, is the interaction
with people from different nations and cultures in a multidisciplinary
environment. We work with production engineers, Business Units, marketing
and external parties (e.g. universities or customers) to define new
product ideas and develop new solutions in our lab. This open minded environment makes work interesting and leads to a lot of respect towards everybody. Despite our daily project work, we still have freedom to create and evaluate crazy, innovative ideas for the future.

For me, Borealis is a great place to work, because my
work is respected and this is also communicated regularly. I have a lot
of personal freedom in organising my daily work, nevertheless I have
never been left alone if I had a problem which I was unable to solve on
my own. I appreciate the international working environment and the fact that I had been given the chance to work more than one year in Finland. This time abroad was not only very important for my work, but especially a personal experience which I will gain from for the rest of my life.

Borealis is a great place to work because of the different challenges you can face!
After a training period in Germany, I got the chance to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Working abroad for some years is a big step out of your comfort zone. It means facing professional as well as private challenges. But I was impressed that Borealis would not only offer me a job opportunity but also support all family issues. It is a lot easier to start working if you know that your family is satisfied and you don’t need to worry about paper work, housing or school for the kids.
I wish to keep on learning for my whole life and Borealis offers me an environment to do so, respecting my personal strength and weaknesses to get the best for both, me and Borealis!
