Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)

Borealis offers selected bulk customers Vendor Managed Inventory to optimise logistics. With web-enabled VMI, replenishment of material can be harmonised with customers' production schedules.

To ensure material availability, Borealis can assume responsibility for monitoring stock levels at the customer's premises and for ordering material. This will be possible by linking the customer's automatic silo measurement equipment to a new Borealis Internet web site. 
  
This secure web site will provide both the customer and Borealis with close to real time information on current stock level and consumption rate.
 
Also information about historic consumption and planning/delivery efficiency will be available.
