Borealis offers a number of innovative polyethylene
and polypropylene fibre grades that are used to create
strapping, tapes and
monofilaments.
These grades are used in a variety of applications in the packaging, agriculture, building and leisure industries including:

- FIBC’s
- Carpet backing
- Geotextiles
- Artificial grass
- Strapping
- Bale wrapping
- Fishing nets

The polyethylene and polypropylene fibre grades offered by Borealis are characterised by a high level of product consistency. This enables the converter to run at high line speed while maintaining the same superior quality level.
Recommended product grades
Our range of polyethylene products for technical textile purposes includes:
- VS4580 is a narrow MWD HDPE grade especially designed for monofilament production.
- VS5580 is a narrow MWD HDPE grade especially designed for monofilament and cast film stretched tape production.
- VS4470 is a medium MW HDPE grade especially designed for stretched tape production based on blown film.
