Textiles
Polypropylene-based materials bring high quality and long-life performance for carpets and upholstery
Borealis has introduced a new series of leading edge
polypropylene (PP) textile fibre grades that ensure
high-quality and long-life performance
for carpets and upholstery.
The new grades offer unmatched heat and UV stability. A special stabilisation package added to the grades increases their long term heat and UV stability by more than 100% compared to conventional grades.
Additionally, our textile fibre grades deliver Improved glass performance and quality. Borealis fibre grades HG265FB, HE465FB and HE365FB address the trend toward using more glass on residential and commercial building exteriors. They provide:
- Long-term solutions to wear and tear,
- Degrading effects of heat, light and humidity on performance and colour.
Consistent, high-quality appearance
The absence of “gas fading” additives in the fibres eliminates the potential for any adverse reaction with nitrogen oxide in the atmosphere. This helps manufacturers to ensure a consistent, high-quality appearance for their products, and to avoid discoloration or fading of PP-based carpets and textiles.
All Borealis fibre grades give improved manufacturing efficiency, allowing converters to run at fast line speeds without sacrificng quality or easy processing on existing lines.
