Polypropylene (PP) compounds enable detergent resistance and high heat stabilisation
Borealis offers highly stabilized,
unfilled polypropylene for functional
components such as water/detergent containers, heat exchangers,
injection and blow moulded parts inside:
- washing machines,
- soap dispensers,
- motor housings,
- filter covers for vacuum cleaners.
Recommended grades for specific appliances
For water / detergent containers and heat exchangers, Borealis has designed BC612WG. This product grade is high heat stabilised and detergent resistant. It is also a yellowing-free material.
Injection and blow moulded parts are best produced using Borealis HB601WG, which offers high heat stabilisation and detergent resistance. This grade is used for parts in the liquid circuit.
Borealis' PP 20% talc compounds give soap dispenser manufacturers the benefit of high heat and detergent resistance. Our PP solutions also include a more sophisticated 10% microcomposite compound, Borcom WG140AI, that delivers high flow and detergent resistance.
Our ME266U natural is a PP copolymer with 20% talc that is well-suited for motor housings and filter covers for vacuum cleaners. This copolymer provides high heat stabilisation, good impact/stiffness balance and is easy to colour via masterbatch.
All these grades are UL listed: UL94HB, UL 764B and UL 746 A.
