Melamine and Performance Products

Borealis is the market leader for melamine production in Europe and the second largest producer worldwide. Our product portfolio includes melamine, traded under the name AMI Melamine, and melamine high performance products which are specialty resins and additives designed for premium applications.

Our melamine business comprises five production units in two locations and accounts for an annual production capacity of 160,000 tonnes. AMI Melamine stands for product quality, state of the art technology and on-going innovation. 

As a key player in the melamine industry, we develop application-driven solutions with our customers and launch new melamine-based products on the market. In this regard, we strengthen innovation, product quality and a comprehensive partner service. 

For our melamine performance products, we produce both additives and resins.

These products include:

• AMI HIPERADD: Process and functional additives which are used primarily in the woodworking industry.
• AMI HIPERESIN: Melamine formaldehyde powder resins particularly well-suited for automotive applications.
