Borealis has introduced a broad portfolio of wire and cable solutions for the Buildings and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) market.

The insulation systems can be met with our well-known Borcell™ celluar compounds for data cables and Visico™/Ambicat™ compounds for low voltage cables in buildings and industrial plants.

• Our Borcell™ cellular high density polyethylene (HDPE) compounds are designed to deliver superior dielectric properties and insulation performance.
• Visico™/Ambicat™ system of moisture crosslinked polyethylene support producers of low voltage cables in achieving superior quality crosslinked PE cables at the lowest total cost of production by optimising production flow.

The jacket systems can be achieved with our non-crosslinked low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) Casico™ solutions normally for buildings and industrial areas and peroxide or radiation crosslinked LSZH solutions normally for automotive OEMs.  Our innovative Casico™ solution utilises a novel char foam system that provides a prolonged time to ignition with very low amount of smoke.  It provides great mechanical properties at the same time allowing customers to have a great cost-performance balanced solution.
