Waste Water Treatment Tanks and Inspection Chambers
Borecene™ combines impact resistance, stiffness and excellent creep properties
Borealis is a preferred development partner
for rotomoulded waste water treatment tanks and inspection
chambers. With our proprietary Borecene product range, as well as
C6-polyethylene and polypropylene solutions, we deliver the superior
combination of impact resistance,
stiffness and excellent creep
properties that are critical for infrastructure
applications.
Our dedicated grades are also WRC, WRAS and DVGW-W270 approved for applications that come in contact with drinking water and DIBT approved for applications where a long lifetime must be guaranteed.
Benefits for sewerage systems
Our materials hold the following advantages:
- They fulfil all current national and international standards;
- Resist the damage caused by the chemicals found in ground and waste water, or by mechanical loads and abrasion;
- Adjust smoothly without breaking in response to natural earth movements and shifting;
- Are light weight and easy to handle;
- Integrated design is possible, e.g. for ladders;
- Easy height adjustment;
- Can be welded to ensure a tight seal;
- Can be used in monolithic constructions or in multi-piece system designs.
Borecene - solutions for sewage and waste water management
Borealis has two Borecene PE metallocene-based copolymers to meet the needs of plastic infrastructure systems. These products are supplied in natural pellets / powder and black powder.
Hexene is used as the co-monomer to provide improved impact resistance and durability. The metallocene grades bring the extended stiffness and impact balance of PE to new and enhanced levels. The metallocene grades also provide:
- improved flowabilty in the mould,
- possibilities for shorter cycle times through faster sintering and rapid solidification.
Recommended grades of Borcene
- Borecene RM7404: This grade is suggested when a high stiffness, low creep application is needed. The grade has excellent impact resistance, making it the ideal grade when long-lasting performance and value are required.
- Borecene RM8344: This grade is recommended when a high impact, low creep application is needed. The grade also has excellent flowabilty, making intricate designs possible while retaining the resilience to sustain earth movements without breakage.
