
Herbert Willerth assumes responsibility for Borealis’ Middle East and Asia activities

Borealis, a leading provider of chemical and innovative plastics solutions, announces a reorganisation of its Executive Board. With the retirement of Henry Sperle as Executive Vice President Middle East & Asia on May 31, 2010, the organisational units previously reporting to him have been re-assigned to report to the Deputy CEO, Herbert Willerth, with immediate effect.
Herbert Willerth was born in Austria in 1950 and worked for the former PCD for almost 30 years before it was merged into Borealis. At the time of the merger Herbert Willerth was CEO of PCD. He was appointed Borealis Executive Vice President Operations & Procurement in 2000 and in addition Deputy CEO in 2008.

its polyolefins manufacturing capacity to 2 million tonnes per year (t/y)
by mid-2010 and an additional 2.5 million t/y is scheduled for 2013. The
