Your role

  • You’re an inspirational, empathic and creative leader to the team;
  • You’ll establish the prioritized needs for the audience segment, placing them in a detailed experience model;
  • You’ll develop actionable brand articulations and business goals that inform the design, and you’ll work closely with clients listening to their feedback to understand and advocate for user needs from project concept through execution;
  • You’ll manage & coach the group of UX designers, and ensure the quality, consistency and coherence across their deliverables.

This role will be a part time role (50%)

Your responsibilities

As our art director, you are a true leader, you are at the frontline to think, design and follow the crafting of the best digital experiences, but also act as a great mentor. You will:

  • Develop customer research and insights, collaborating with the creative team, marketing strategists and creative strategy
  • Determine key attributes of the customer’s emotional and physical environment, designing and following the crafting of the best digital experiences
  • Create substantively influential engagement models and project plans using DUP framework
  • Specify the complete conditional presentation of the user interface
  • Autonomously own a large project from kickoff to completion, sometimes balancing multiple projects at once
  • Maintain high standards for design artifacts including wireframes, architecture diagrams and prototypes
  • Partner with clients on business goals from a visual standpoint
  • Lead and participate in research activities such as persona development, customer journeys, competitive analyses, heuristic reviews and usability testing
  • Showcase your diverse interactive skills, sharing the latest and greatest
  • Maintain high quality on creative and presentation deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team on implementation feasibility to ensure Experience Design is realizable
  • Must be able to confidently present experience design work to clients and advocate persuasively for target users in a collaborative, win-win fashion. Independent thinking and effective oral and written presentation skills are required
  • Collaborate, multi-task and work efficiently under the pressure of deadlines

Your profile

To complement our team, we are looking for someone who can bring the following expertise to the table:

  • A degree or additional study in HCI, Human Factors, Service Design and/or Graphic Design (or similar in work experience)
  • At least 5 years of design and strong interactive/digital work experience preferred
  • Balanced interaction design skills, visual design sensibilities and understanding of how disciplines exist together
  • Ability to design, lead and follow the crafting of any quality-driven digital product;
  • Perfect understanding of the fundamentals of UX and UI
  • Experience managing, mentoring and evaluating teams
  • Understand how to design to a customer’s emotional and physical context
  • Concept and design intuitive experiences that meet client objectives and exceed customer expectations
  • Team-player collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams from strategy, technology, account, and production
  • Articulate design rationale
  • Know trends in design, interaction, technology, and art
