Controller Operations Finance (f/m)

In this versatile position, you are a direct business partner to members of the management and the leadership team of the operations locations Linz and Piesteritz. We offer you the chance to be an active part of projects and to contribute to our financial processes. You will support different stakeholders within the organisation to provide a solid base for decision-making.

Your main areas of responsibility include amongst others:

  • Providing business support to the functional unit lead and acting as business partner for members of the location management
  • Create financial transparency and awareness in a technical driven environment
  • Develop solid financial evaluations, business cases and decision proposals to location management
  • Assessing implications of decisions on selective areas of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow of the respective location and develop improvement proposals
  • Driving the business planning- and financial forecasting process for the respective location in alignment with the functional lead
  • Execution and evaluation of  standardised financial and non-financial reports and processes
  • Selective support of functional strategy documents
  • Support controlling colleagues from other locations and ensure information sharing with      stakeholders especially from Business Accounting and Business Controlling
  • Project participation in improvement projects predominantly in the supported functional area
  • Process execution and selective contribution to process set-up & continuous improvement

You are the right candidate if you possess the following experience, knowledge and skills:

  • University degree in finance, accounting or economics or adequate additional job experience
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in cost accounting / controlling
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • Solid financial knowledge and basic Borealis business and internal process understanding
  • Strong data interpretation & validation performance
  • Experience in SAP, BI and data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Forecasting, planning and data modelling
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills

Other Information

  • The position is temporary due to maternity leave
  • We offer a competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement chemical industry starting at EUR 50.374,38 annual gross salary. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan.
