In our Head Office in Vienna, we have an opening for a Demand Planner in Polyolefins who is responsible for developing the rolling unconstrained demand plan of the respective business cluster with the objectives of implementing strategic ambitions, enhancing customer experience and profit optimization. Being part of the S&OP team, in this position you will lead the monthly demand planning dialogue for the products and customers in your portfolio with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing. This is an opportunity for an experienced demand planner to work in a complex, dynamic and global environment.
As a Demand Planner in Borealis you will
˗ Perform the monthly S&OP demand forecasting and shaping process in line with the business cluster strategy and the objective of margin optimization.
˗ Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts and for prioritisation when demand exceeds supply.
˗ Analyse and understand data to quickly recognize changes in sales trends to drive a proactive response in S&OP.
˗ Interact with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Data Scientists to understand and utilize different demand forecast drivers.
˗ Capture untapped opportunities and profit improvement options and prepare scenarios which you present as basis for decision making during the S&OP meetings.
˗ Manage KPI reporting for forecast accuracy, forecast bias, forecast changes and other performance indicators. Drive forecasting performance of stakeholders outside S&OP.
˗ Participate in S&OP related projects.
˗ Work in a young and enthusiastic international team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
˗ 3 years’ experience in Demand Planning
˗ 4+ years’ experience in a commercial, business, operations or supply chain environment. Experience in chemical or fast moving consumer goods industry preferred.
˗ Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, planning and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
˗ Experience working in SAP and advanced skill set with MS Excel is a must
˗ University degree in a related field (Business Management, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain).
˗ Preferred: S&OP/Supply Chain professional training (APICS or similar)
˗ Fluency in English
˗ Commercial literacy.
We offer a competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement, reflecting your competencies and experience, starting at EUR 58.000,00 annual gross salary and are willing to pay more based on your experience and background. In addition, we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan.
