Reporting to the Head of CES (Circular Economy Solutions), you will drive Borealis’ collaboration in the plastic value chain, ensuring long-term supply of competitive feedstock for Borealis’ recycling operations and also develop and manage the required feedstock dimension in our growth projects. You will closely work with our CES-Studio, located at our Innovation Headquarters as well as with our recycling plants like Ecoplast and MTM.

Your contribution makes a difference…

  • As a value chain expert, you align procurement and the business processes to streamline and optimize the set up. You develop, implement and manage the group wide contracting strategies for feedstock and reject materials from recycling operations. You support all corporate strategic projects in the CES space with your expertise. This also includes development of business cases for potential new company projects from sourcing perspective.
  • You act as a strategic portfolio manager, capturing new developments on the market, introduce them into Borealis proactively, and take the global responsibility for the end-to-end management of the entire feedstock for plastics recycling portfolio. You develop and implement the CES sourcing strategy for Feedstock in line with company strategies and policies.
  • Professional stakeholder management internally with the marketing and asset team, with quality and finance as well as with external key players assures Borealis’ capturing the innovation potential of the supply market to optimize our processes and plants. You foster and maintain a professional relationship with our suppliers to enable them to serve Borealis in the best possible way. This also includes supply chain optimization across the CES/supplier interface and close cooperation with quality management internally.
  • For major CES initiatives, you act as a project manager. You are furthermore accountable for contract management and are a people manager for remote buying teams at all respective recycling locations. You provide transactional services to the procurement community of CES and ensure a correct reporting and KPI follow-up.

You are the right candidate for this position if you are passionate about transforming the plastics value chain and negotiating with different stakeholders to create win-win commercial deals. Having ideally 10 years’ experience within the relevant field of recycling, ideally connected to procurement, project and engineering management or commercial management, you possess the knowledge of procurement processes and legal procurement contracting as well as English at business level. We look for an analytical, tactical and strategical thinking person, bringing proven coaching and leadership skills.

You are an excellent global networker, adaptive in interaction and used to deal with varying stakeholders in waste management? You bring the experience, attitude and skill set described? Then please submit your application (CV and Cover Letter in English language) online.
