We are looking for a replacement of the current Lead Buyer in Grand-Quevilly (France, near Rouen).

In this role, you will :

  • Develop, implement and follow up on sourcing strategies for the assigned portfolio in line with company strategies, business plans and policies.
  • Responsible for competitive bidding, contract negotiations and establishment of supply contracts (Frame Agreements) for the assigned portfolio.
  • Assure in-depth knowledge of global markets by using all available (re-)sources and (market intelligence, benchmarking) tools.
  • Take responsibility for implementing safety measures and improvements towards suppliers.
  • Capture new developments on the market and introduce them into Borealis
  • Interact pro-actively with the internal users in order to assure proper understanding of the requirements
  • Cooperate with cross-functional category teams for selected portfolio Maintain a professional relationship with our suppliers.

Your profile, skills and experience:

You are the right candidate for this position if you can handle multiple projects with challenging timelines simultaneously. You have a Master degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Economics or Business with 5 years experienced.

You drive your work in an independent, goal oriented and structured way. You guide and work closely with the internal stakeholders and have excellent negotiation and strong contractual skills. You demonstrate a high level of integrity and ethics to ensure compliance in the procurement process. Finally, you should be fluent in both written and spoken French and English.
