What this role offers to you:

  • The role holder contributes to the implementation of an optimized logistic network for BU Fertilizer in Romania by optimizing logistics (rail, road, ship) and warehousing costs.
  • Facilitates port operations in various ports to ensure smooth and quick cargo handling
  • Sources, selects, contracts and manages a reliable supplier base, in co-operation with Distribution & Warehouse Managers. Monitors performance of Logistics Service Providers in order to reduce costs and improve service levels.
  • Continuously observes freight markets and reacts in time on changes to optimize logistics costs.
  • Implements small to medium-scale logistics or cross-functional projects as a project manager or supports projects as a project team member.

What is required from you:

  • Business / commercial degree in high school or similar secondary business education, preferably relevant degree in logistics
  • English: Professional knowledge, written and spoken
  • Romanian: Professional knowledge, written and spoken
  • Additional European languages are an asset
  • Logistics or Procurement experience (minimum 5-10 years)
  • Understanding of the transport market is a big advantage
  • Good knowledge of standard MS office applications
  • Knowledge of commercial and logistics offerings and service level guidelines
  • Knowledge of the transport and customs documentation applicable in the market covered
  • Experience of handling ERP, preferably SAP and standard office software
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Networking skills

 

Required language levels:

  • English: Professional knowledge, written and spoken
  • Romanian: Professional knowledge, written and spoken
  • Additional European languages are an asset
