For strengthening our Market Intelligence team in Linz we are currently seeking a Market Intelligence Analyst.



Your main areas of responsibility include:

  • analysing market developments in the fertilizer and technical business in order to help refine the current sales strategy in the short run and to identify risks and opportunities in the longer run as a contribution to business strategy development and action setting.
  • developing market intelligence tools and processes to analyze the markets in the area of competitive intelligence and global industry trends.
  • performing market and industry analysis to identify the competitive position and proposing best-practice initiatives.
  • acting as a leader or team member in assigned growth projects in order to support strategic planning and substantial/attractive business growth for Borealis and/or Owners.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


  • University degree in economics, marketing and market research
  • Analytic thinking as well as technical and financial understanding
  • Fluent business English. French would be an asset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to prepare market/competitor/product analysis
  • Excellent in compelling, analysing and presenting data
  • Advanced IT skills for data analysis
  • Project management skills
  • 3+ years of experience in fertilizer/chemical business or in a related market research function
  • Experience in working internationally, interdisciplinary and under pressure
  • Ability to work in teams
  • Build lasting relationships and networks
  • work independently and contribute pro-actively
  • good ability to communicate effectively

Following Austrian law regulations we offer, reflecting your experiences, skills and competencies, competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement chemical industry starting at EUR 57.321,74 annual gross salary. In addition we offer a yearly bonus and a voluntary company pension plan.
