Production Development EngineerWe are looking for a highly motivated production development engineer for our Polyethylene Borstar Plant in Porvoo.

Are you the person who is curious to improve continuously things and wanting to have more qualitative results by carrying out corrective actions for quality improvements? Do you enjoy taking impact on health, safety, environment and quality issues? As a production development engineer, these will be your mains tasks:

  • You will be responsible for the quality deviation reporting in our synergi-system and taking care for optimised production cycle with given product mix.
  • You will support to minimize plant Overall Asset Effectiveness losses and minimize transition volumes.
  • You will continuously do improvements of plant performance, like test runs, problem solving and the operating instructions.
  • You will ensure claim handling and coordinate test run planning, follow-up and reporting.
  • You will take over the small studies and modifications, which are carried out by production organisation. 

We expect you to have a University or Bachelor degree preferably in chemical engineering/process technology and equivalent working experience in relevant industrial environment. In order to succeed in this position you should have capability to learn production process in petrochemical industry. You are also a fluent communicator in Finnish and in English. 

You will act as a contact person towards business units and product owners, so we wish you to be quality and achievement oriented person who have a strong skills to co-operate and network successfully with others. You will also have  the responsibility to train and challenge the shift and day organisation in order to optimise plant performance, so we hope you are willing to do presentations and share information with others. To be successful in this role, you will also need analytical and conceptual thinking skills and you have an initiative attitude while working mostly independently.
