Do you want to join the IT team as an IT Project Leader / Agile Facilitator? If you are passionate about IT and Industrial IT Solutions, not afraid to roll up your sleeves and to take on serious responsibilities, you have come to the right place. Your job as a project leader will be to oversee the processes of the assigned projects. In accordance with the methodology of the chosen project management you will approach and coach the Project Team to apply and adhere to best practises. In the role you need to encouraging collaboration and communication inside and outside the team and act as a shield for the team, against external interference in order to prevent obstacles.

Depending on the applied solution development methodology and the stage in the project lifecycle the accent of the role may vary between using plan-driven approaches and agile approaches.

 Specifics for plan-driven project stages: Act as Project Manager and plan, manage and co-ordinate the execution of the assigned projects in line with the approved business case, delivering the targeted results within the agreed time, budget and quality requirements in accordance with prescribed minimum project standards.

 Specifics for agile driven project stages: Act as Agile Facilitator, assisting the team to deliver the targeted results and ensure cross team synchronisation by supporting the Product Owner, giving methodological advice, creating a productive work environment, coach the team. The Agile Facilitator is responsible for the correct implementation, and the maximization of the benefits of the Agile process and as part of the Project Team, he/she is co-responsible for the delivery of the targeted result within the agreed time, budget and quality requirements in accordance with prescribed minimum project standards.

Your main areas of responsibility include amongst others: 

  • Project management in accordance with the chosen approach and adherence to theory, practises and rules.
  • Create a smooth and productive work environment
  • Remove obstacles and guide the team to be able to eliminate these obstacles
  • Proactively solve issues to enable the team members to stay focused on their goals
  • Ensure effective communication within the team and with the stakeholders.
  • Ensure the activities of the team and/or the result of the project are in accordance with the applicable internal and external policies and standards (including the Project Charter, the architectures, and the security standards).
  • Contribute to the handover of the results (product or service) to Business and IT operations.
  • Capture and share the new knowledge and insights that developed within the team during the project.
  • Act as a change agent and adapt processes to maximise productivity of the team
  • Represent team in cross project team meetings
  • Act as an in-house consultant, who challenges, consults, solves problems and generates value

 Specifics for plan-driven project stages:

  • Formulate a project plan including the deliverables (S.M.A.R.T.), plan and budget in accordance with the business case / project charter.
  • Identify, request and secure the needed competences and establish a project team with internal and/or external expertise, ensure availability of the team members and the other planned resources.
  • Manage, supervise, monitor, evaluate, and document the progress of the project and report about it. Take corrective actions, when needed.

 Specifics for agile driven in project stage:

  • Assess and ensure sustainable and comfortable evolution of the maturity of the team through the application of servant leadership technics,
  • Facilitate the efficient working (self-organising, self-managing, decision taking, conflict resolution, Scrum events etc.) of the team.
  • Ensure efficient communication between the Project Team and the Product Owner
  • Coach Agile Facilitators

You are the right candidate for this position if you possess the following experience, knowledge and skills:

 

To complement our team, we are looking for someone who can bring the following expertise to the table:

  • Master level in computer science, engineering or equivalent proven experience
  • 8 years of IT work experience, from which 2 years in leading plan driven or facilitating agile driven projects
  • Experience in participating or leading projects
  • High level knowledge on IT solutions
  • Knowledge of plan-driven and Agile approaches
  • Knowledge and experience with Plan-driven and Agile project management techniques
  • Fluent in English
  • Analytical, customer and result oriented thinker
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills with impact and influence
  • Strong interpersonal skills, building relationships, understanding and developing others
  • Good facilitation and coaching skills, as well negotiations skills
  • Able to ensure plan-driven and agile concepts and principle are adhered to
  • Able to lead a team to self-organization
  • Ethical in your choices and in the displayed behaviours
