Are you a customer & achievement oriented Project Manager and ready to go beyond the usual boundaries with our experienced engineering team?

We are currently looking Project Managers to our Technical Development and Engineering team based in Porvoo, Finland.

Your role as a Project Manager in Borealis is to ensure that projects are executed in compliance with Borealis and project specific procedures and engineering design standards. Project focus points are safety, schedule and conforming to agreed quality and specifications at optimal cost.

You will work in close collaboration with our procurement, development, operations, and maintenance departments. Your main partners are EPCM and EPC contractors and their project management, site supervision and engineering functions as well as construction companies and other contractors and vendors. Other stakeholders you need to manage is our investment portfolio team and leader teams.

In addition, as a Project Manager your role is to develop our project management capabilities and take part in training our organization. Project Manager will report depending on experience to TD&E Manager or Engineering Manager.


Our expectations, your targets

  • Experience in managing industrial investment projects
  • Strong technical background, good collaboration and negotiating skills
  • Ability to work with multiple tasks under pressure and adapt in changing situations 
  • Proficiency in Finnish and English, both written and oral
  • To secure good and beneficial relationships with contractors, partners, vendors, local Borealis organisation and third parties such as engineering institutions, certification bodies etc. throughout the life of the project.
  • To lead and staff the project team and set up the interfaces to all other related organisations that will be impacted by the project, maintenance, procurement business etc


We highly appreciate

  • Proven track record in successfully managing or executing large industrial investment projects
  • Certification in project management (e.g. PMP, IPMA)
