We are looking for a Sales Manager TEN (Technical Products) in our Business Unit Fertilizer. The position is permanent and based in France (Home Office) and requires travel flexibility.

Role Purpose:

The Sales Manager TEN will grow the profitability of our customer mix by achieving yearly sales targets through optimal delivery of short term and long term customer requirements.


In line with BU segment strategies:

  • Develop for the overall sales responsibility a clear strategy and sales targets (price / volume / segment), and deliver upon them
  • Develop for each customer a clear strategy and sales targets, and deliver upon them
  • Find and develop new customers in priority customer segments
  • Continuously optimise customer profitability by active price management
  • Sell products based upon understanding of the customer’s and end-user’s perceived value of Borealis products versus competitive offering (value selling)
  • Deliver accurate forecasting to satisfy customer needs & optimise internal operation
  • Advising the BU on segments, customers, suppliers, regions and other developments


Customers / Suppliers:

  • Build a superior relationship at all customer levels and within Borealis, and use it to meet and exceed customer and Borealis expectations
  • Ensure Borealis delivers a “privileged relationship” with Customers and position Borealis as a long-term strategic partner for our priority customers
  • Improve commercial position by building strong customer/supplier relationships
  • Manage after-sales activities (claims, payment, payment-terms…) to meet agreed targets
  • Frequent contact with key decision makers at the customer – at all relevant locations and together with appropriate Borealis representatives - to understand customer requirements


Knowledge, Skills and Experience 


  • University degree or post school vocational education
  • Fluent in written and spoken French
  • Good in written and spoken English



  • Proven commercial attitude
  • Knowledge of Borealis products
  • Good (financial) analytical thinking
  • Basic knowledge of customers conversion process
  • Basic knowledge of marketing strategy and value chain
