Flexible Consumer Products

Role Purpose

As Senior AMM, you will be accountable for the business performance part of the Flexible Consumer Products segment, which is a major contributor to the achievement of profitability and volume targets. The Senior AMM acts as Business manager, defines the application strategy, and is responsible for product mix, promotion, strategic pricing and place (customer selection and geographies).

Through understanding the perceived value of Borealis products throughout the value chain, the Senior AMM positions the products commercially versus competitive offers.

The Senior AMM drives innovation and new product development based upon technology push opportunities and detailed understanding of market needs. An entrepreneurial mindset and strong relationship building skills are needed to ensure that Borealis market positioning is robust.

At the same time, also an operational excellence focused mind set is needed, with strong networking, to drive business improvements though the Winning Triangle.

The Senior AMM builds up a network within the industry and value chain customers, extrusion and converting machinery, brand owners, retailers, associations and governance bodies) in order to get deep insight in the business and to generate highest value and brand reputation.

Contribution

You will

  • Grow the Flexible Consumer Products business predominantly in Europe, but with strong interactions to Emerging Markets, and our sister company Borouge.
  • Promote Borealis flexible product brands Borstar, BorShape, Queo and Anteo and the service offering through intensive value chain work
  • Develop routes to market and sales, directly with prospective customers, end-users, influencers and technology partners
  • Together with sales and application development/technical service, develop and implement customer plans
  • Implement new product launches
  • Be involved in regulatory bodies and industry associations to interact with stakeholders and understand and influence future regulations and trends
  • Identify opportunities for growth and manage an innovation pipeline to achieve the ambition level
  • Define and lead strategic projects using cross functional resources in order to achieve the defined  strategy and  financial  and milestone targets
  • Set the value based pricing strategy and follow-up the business during the year and steer sales where needed
  • Be responsible for application  product  & technology branding and for marketing communication plans

Skills

  • You have an academic degree in Science or Engineering  
  • Ideally you have at least 8 years of experience in a relevant business field, preferably in film extrusion applications, and/or flexible packaging converting technologies such as lamination (OPET, PA, PE films) or printing and processing technologies such as sealing on ‘form, film and seal’ machinery
  • You are used to work in teams and can inspire and motivate people
  • You can represent Borealis in conferences and create a reputation and credibility for our Flexible Products brands. This external visibility is a core activity, attracting new prospects and strengthens the value of the brand.
  • You have commercial feeling to understand and judge the potential value of a proposed solution or business opportunity
  • You have the ability to structure and convert findings into immediately applicable recommendations
  • You are self-motivated, result-oriented, pro-active, and assertive in your approach
  • You are fluent in English
  • Good presentation skills and strong convincing power
  • Excellent problem solving skills
