We are currently looking for an open-minded and proactive Senior Lean Coach (f/m), who manages a defined scope of project management tools and related trainings and further rolls out the implementation of Lean management within Borealis Business and Group Functions. Furthermore this position will be the Project Manager of our companywide project “Nimble Company”.


Your main areas of responsibility include amongst others:

  • Drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement and “Nimble Company” activities. Ensure a consistent approach to Lean principles across the company by coordinating communication, trainings etc.
  • Be a sparring partner for management teams in the development of a roadmap to Nimblicity™. Enable and coach them in the definition and implementation of lean processes and structures to ensure the sustainability of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor the implementation of agreed Nimblicity™ roadmaps by supporting self-assessments as well as by conducting regular reviews as a basis for continuous improvement.
  • Own a defined scope of project management tools and related trainings and develop those further based on external and internal best practices.
  • Act as Project Manager for the Winning through Excellence project “Nimble Company”.
  • As team member of the Project Management Office support the organization in setting up improvement projects applying best practice project management approaches (waterfall, agile, lean).


You are the right candidate for this position if you possess the following experience, knowledge and skills:

  • Master’s degree from acknowledged university or equivalent
  • Mastery of English at business level
  • Education and experience in Continuous Improvement and/or Quality Management
  • Expertise in applying Lean tools in practice (e.g. value analysis, 5S, value stream mapping, quick change over, Kaizen); ideally lean management education and related track record of implementing lean transformation programmes
  • Project management education and related experience (classical and agile methods)
  • Excellent coaching and communication skills

Following Austrian law regulations we offer, reflecting your experiences, skills and competencies, a competitive compensation based on the Austrian collective labour agreement of EUR 91.600,00 gross (based on full-time monthly gross salary acc. to respective Austrian Collective Labour Agreement: Grundgehalt EUR 3.267,14 / Verwendungsgruppe V/04.)
