Borealis and Asmidal sign Memorandum of Understanding to jointly evaluate opportunities for melamine production in Algeria

Borealis, a leading provider of innovative solutions in the fields of polyolefins, base chemicals and fertilizers, and Asmidal signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 22 November 2016. The document reflects the parties' interest in evaluating opportunities to jointly develop a melamine production project in Algeria. A feasibility study for this project will be carried out during upcoming months and a final investment decision is expected to be taken in 2017.

Borealis is the second largest producer of melamine in Europe, with a global marketing and distribution network.
