Borealis Bankers and Investors Day 2015 in Abu Dhabi
Borealis, a leading provider of innovative solutions in the fields of polyolefins, base chemicals and fertilizers, held its Bankers & Investors Day in Abu Dhabi on 28-29 April of this year. The conference was attended by over 70 representatives from banks, investors and supra-national institutions with ties to Borealis.
Focus of this year's event was the presentation and discussion of Borealis' path to excellence strategy, and in particular the successful start-up of Borouge 3, the world's largest integrated polyolefins complex. It follows the 2013 event where talks were held in Rouen, France, with as main topic the expansion of the Borealis fertilizer business.
The conference included presentations by Borealis Chief Executive Mark Garrett, CFO Mark Tonkens, Director Treasury & Funding Jan-Martin Nufer, CFO Borouge Reem Al Anbari, COO Borouge Philippe Roodhooft, and VP Innovation Borouge Michael Pell.
A highlight of the 2015 event was a visit of the Borouge Innovation Centre, which cooperates closely with other Borealis Innovation Centres to explore enhanced application solutions in the automotive, infrastructure and advanced packaging sectors.
