Ensuring a safe work environment for our people is, and always will be, our top priority.

We keep employing stringent health and safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to ensure business continuity

This is a periodic update of our COVID-19 News. Read our previous publication here.

Ensuring a safe work environment for our people is, and always will be, our top priority. For more than a year now we have successfully managed to ensure a safe work environment for our employees, a basis for guaranteeing business continuity. We thank all our employees for their commitment to safety and their flexibility in safely dealing with the pandemic. We owe it to them that we managed to continue safe operations in all of our locations without any infection clusters, or having to implement mitigating actions like short-time work.

Based on our learnings, we continue to take all steps within our possibilities to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect our employees and business partners while proceeding with our measures to maintain business continuity. We do this in closed alignment with the respective government guidelines of each country and region we operate. Work scenarios are continuously re-evaluated for all our locations on an individual basis, including regular risk assessments by our Location Leadership Teams, and our Health, Safety & Environment and HR organisation.

With these actions we are supporting our value chain partners to minimise their employees’ exposure to potential safety or health risks. At the same time, we expect our partners to comply with COVID-19 related legal requirements and regulations issued by governments on national and regional level.
We thank you for your understanding that for practical reasons it is not possible for us to answer individual customer surveys regarding which safety measures we currently have in time in all of our sites.

Our regional websites* are updated with the current safety regulations we have in place, as these also need to be complied with by business partners who need to access our sites. Thank you for checking this information before you enter one of our locations.

We will continue to provide regular updates and information by way of our established channels. In case of questions, do not hesitate to reach out to your direct contact at Borealis, or via these contact forms.
