Biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film is produced by stretching film in two directions to create a material that is ideally suited for flexible food packaging, as well as a wide range of other applications including metallized barrier films, stationery, flower sleeves, and cable wrap and insulation. It has a low density-to-strength ratio, making it exceptionally material-efficient and resulting in a lower carbon footprint.

We offer a portfolio of BOPP film that includes grades optimized for both core and sealing layers. These premium materials offer numerous performance and aesthetic advantages, and can be made with circular feedstock to further improve sustainability.

Biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films are used in a variety of modern applications, from flexible food packaging and printing and lamination films, to metallised barrier films, stationery, flower sleeves and cable wrap and insulation.

Our partners benefit from our range of high-performance PP heat sealing and complementary PP homo-polymer grades for BOPP films. Our solutions help reducing CO2 emissions and improve the circularity of flexible packaging.

Our heat seal grades Borealis TD310BF, TD312BF and TD315BF provide an excellent thickness profile when used on high-speed BOPP lines. We also supply non-phthalate based PP homo-polymer products for the core layer, including High clean PP homo-polymer (Borealis HC101BF) and High stiff and high clean PP homo-polymer (Borealis HC110BF).
