Borealis Treasury received TMI Award for Innovation and Excellence in the category Risk Management

Borealis Treasury received the Treasury Management International (TMI) 2015 Corporate Recognition Award for Innovation and Excellence in the category Risk Management.

"We are honored to receive the TMI Innovation and Excellence Award now for a second time. Particularly in the category Risk Management, which has become more vital than ever for corporates. Our strategy to proactively implement a central, group wide financial risk management function in Treasury and to strengthen the commodity risk area has clearly showed to be extremely valuable," says Jan-Martin Nufer, Director Treasury & Funding at Borealis.

"Borealis has become well known across the treasury community for best-in-class cash, treasury and risk management and we are delighted to recognise their achievements in commodity risk management, an increasingly important area of responsibility for many corporate treasuries. That Borealis are one of only two companies to receive a TMI Corporate Recognition Award on more than one occasion is a testament to the innovation and excellence of their treasury department," states Robin Page, CEO & Publisher of Treasury Management International.

"The judges were delighted to award the TMI Corporate Recognition Award for Innovation & Excellence in Risk Management to Borealis, reflecting the pioneering role that treasury has taken in driving industry best practices in this area. Borealis is one of very few companies to have won a Corporate Recognition Award more than once, which is a reflection of high standards of professionalism, innovation and integrity that Jan-Martin Nufer and his team have worked hard to build up across the treasury function," says Helen Sanders, Editor TMI.
