Feedstock
Our propane dehydrogenation plant in Antwerp, Belgium, enables dedicated production of polymer grade propylene. Closely linked to Advario Gas Terminal, these facilities can accommodate large sea-going vessels, barges and rail tank cars.
Our extensive feedstock storage capability means more flexibility in sources of feedstock as well optimal usage in our base chemicals plants. The majority of our feedstock originates from refineries and gas treatment plants around the world, with the North Sea basin and US being the most important ones. Feedstock from the US are lifted on FOB basis using our wide range of time charter vessels, such as the Navigator Aurora (ethane) and our Oceanus Aurora (LPG – see picture).
Monomer supplies to Burghausen, Germany and Schwechat, Austria are mainly sourced from nearby OMV production plants, but are also imported by rail tank cars to both locations.
