Vienna, Austria / Kallo, Belgium – April 3, 2025 // This update follows previous communications and provides a snapshot of the key progress achieved in 2025 as we advance construction of our second propane dehydrogenation (PDH2) plant in Kallo, Belgium.
Throughout 2025, construction on the world-scale PDH2 plant made good progress. The project surpassed 97% completion in greenfield construction and precommissioning activities. The remaining scope focuses on insulation works and ongoing commissioning. The plant is scheduled to start up in the second half of 2026.
We remain committed to the safe, compliant, and successful completion of the PDH2 project. Our teams are preparing for the commissioning and start-up phases in 2026. Once operational, the plant will strengthen our production capabilities and support long-term competitiveness in the European chemicals industry.
