Borealis Innovation Award 2018 honouring the best diploma theses of TGM, school of technology Vienna

This year for the twelfth time, the best and most innovative diploma theses from the fields of plastics and environmental technology were awarded at TGM, school of technology in Vienna, Austria. The award-winning works deal with the topics of sustainable packaging, germ-free medical devices and automation of industrial production processes and prove the newcomers’ innovative talent.
A clear commitment to engineering training
The Borealis Innovation Awards are a clear sign of the close cooperation between the industry and Austria's HTLs (schools for higher technical education). "As a leading international company in the plastics industry, Borealis is committed to ideas and innovations. Borealis Social Fund promotes educational programmes in engineering
TGM is one of several education-based initiatives, social welfare organisations, and local projects that supported by Borealis. In order to increase the effectiveness of such financial assistance, and to ensure that sponsorship remains in alignment with the company’s own sustainability strategy, the Borealis Social Fund supports activities in three main areas:
- Education and social integration
- Water and sanitation measures (Water for the World™ programme)
- Resource efficiency, and the avoidance of plastics waste in oceans and marine environments.
