This year for the twelfth time, the best and most innovative diploma theses from the fields of plastics and environmental technology were awarded at TGM, school of technology in Vienna, Austria. The award-winning works deal with the topics of sustainable packaging, germ-free medical devices and automation of industrial production processes and prove the newcomers’ innovative talent.

A clear commitment to engineering training

The Borealis Innovation Awards are a clear sign of the close cooperation between the industry and Austria's HTLs (schools for higher technical education). "As a leading international company in the plastics industry, Borealis is committed to ideas and innovations. We are therefore particularly pleased to be able to bring young talents from Austria's HTLs to the curtain with our award ", emphasises Alfred Stern, designated Borealis CEO and underlines the importance of technical training in Austria. ”Expertise is the foundation for success. According to our company philosophy, ‘keep discovering ' it is important to us not only to be knowledge-but also innovation leaders and to promote young technicians."
