Martin Kuzaj joins Borealis Executive Board

Borealis announces the appointment of Martin Kuzaj as Executive Vice President for Base Chemicals and member of the Executive Board effective November 1, 2007. He will report to CEO John Taylor and will be located in Linz, Austria.

Martin Kuzaj comes to Borealis with extensive experience in the chemicals industry. From 1986 to 2000, he held several management positions within the Shell Group of companies, culminating in his appointment as the Global Business Manager for Styrene at Shell Chemicals Limited based in London. From 2000 to 2003, Martin was President/Chief Executive Officer of Steinbeis Packaging Group located near Munich, Germany, and since 2004, he has been an independent Senior Partner consulting in the chemical and financial industries.

Having graduated summa cum laude from Marburg University in Germany with a degree in Organic Chemistry, Martin is 50 years old, a German citizen, married and has three children.

"We look forward to his contribution as we build a Base Chemicals business from our hydrocarbons and aromatics businesses and integrate Agrolinz Melamine International (AMI) into our organisation."
