Borealis, a leading provider of innovative solutions in the fields of polyolefins, base chemicals and fertilizers, has received a 2017 Best Polymers Producer Award for Europe in the overarching category of "Delivery Reliability." The award was one of eight presented on 1 June 2017 in Madrid, Spain, during the annual convention of the European Plastics Converters (EuPC) and the Spanish Asociación Española de Industriales de Plásticos (ANAIP).

The Best Polymer Producer Awards honour the highest rated firms as determined by way of a pan-European customer satisfaction survey. Initiated in 2015 as a tool to cultivate constructive dialogue and fortify communication channels within the polymers industry, this online survey identifies those firms which are perceived to be contributing to the industry in a most positive manner.

Polymer suppliers and users assess producers on the basis of five main criteria: Quality, Regulatory Compliance, Material Delivery Reliability, Communication, and Innovation. Winners are selected in seven polymer categories.

An eighth prize encompassing all polymer types, "Delivery Reliability," has been awarded to Borealis this year on the basis of survey responses. Rating criteria for this overarching category include, among other key parameters, supplier flexibility, reliability in maintaining deadlines, and avoidance of unexpected costs due to delivery issues on the supplier side.

"We are extremely pleased to receive this cross-category award, especially on the heels of last year's win as best European polymer supplier in the polypropylene category," says a pleased Rainer Hoefling, Borealis Senior Vice President Polyolefin Sales, who accepted the award on behalf of the company at a gala ceremony in Madrid. "We are especially proud of this recognition because in effect, it comes directly from our customers. Congratulations and many thanks to our Polyolefins sales team, along with all colleagues from operations, production and supply chain, who continue to show such strong commitment to delivering on our promises to our customers – and then going that extra bit more."
