William Yau becomes CEO of Borouge’s Marketing Company in Singapore

William Yau has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Borouge Pte based in Singapore with effect from November 15, 2008. He succeeds Harald Hammer, who returns to Borealis in Europe, to assume the role of Vice President for its new Mobility Business Unit.

Yau comes to Borouge with many years of senior management and commercial experience in the chemicals industry, most recently with the Huntsman Corporation as Vice President, Textile Effects, Asia Pacific. Before that, he started his career with the Swire Group and spent more than 10 years in senior leadership positions with Ciba Specialty Chemicals in Asia. He has a bachelor of science in engineering and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Hong Kong, China.
