A leading global car manufacturer has selected Borcycle™ MD2550SY and Borcycle™ GD3600SY—two high-performance grades from our Borcycle M portfolio of advanced mechanically recycled solutions—for the bumper brackets of their new premium SUV. Both grades incorporate high levels of post-consumer recycled (PCR) content (50% and 65%, respectively) and are produced in RecyClass-certified facilities, ensuring verifiable and traceable sourcing.
The grades meet strict standards for consistency and purity, providing excellent processability, performance, and quality—together with a significantly lower CO₂ footprint than comparable virgin materials. Borcycle™ GD3600SY is successfully used in series production since 2024, including in interior applications.
This is another example of how our Borcycle M portfolio helps automotive manufacturers integrate mechanically recycled content into demanding structural parts with confidence. Through these solutions, we’re helping our customers move closer to their sustainability targets and prepare for the EU’s forthcoming End-of-Life Vehicle regulation, which will set binding recycled content targets across the sector.
Reduction of partial carbon footprint by replacing fossil based material with PCR.
