Driving Circularity and Innovation in Plastics – Borealis at K 2025
Showcasing circular solutions, performance innovation, and hands-on samples – visit us in Hall 6, Stand A43
Borealis, together with Borouge, will return to K 2025 - the world’s leading trade fair for plastics and rubber - from October 8-15 in Düsseldorf. We invite you to visit Hall 6, Stand A43, where we’ll spotlight circularity, cutting-edge materials, and live product demos - all in an environment designed for meaningful conversations.
At K 2025, our stand is built around real interactions, real materials, and real solutions. Whether you're curious about circular polymers, hands-on with product samples, or deep in conversation with our experts, this is your space to explore how innovation becomes impact - through you.
Circular Economy in action Discover circular design in action with the comprehensive reusable cup system, we have developed in collaboration with Messe Düsseldorf. Produced using chemically recycled feedstock based on OMV’s ReOil® technology and Borealis’ modified foamable polypropylene (PP), these lightweight, durable, and fully recyclable cups represent a real-world example of circularity at work—on display at K 2025.
Car-Shaped Automotive Display – Driven by Collaboration Touch the future of mobility. Explore actual automotive parts from our customers and partners – brought to life through cutting-edge materials for interior, exterior, and under-the-hood applications. Lightweight. High-performance. Smart by design. This is innovation in motion.
From Pipe to Port: The Polarcirkel™ Boat in Action A standout innovation: the Polarcirkel™ workboat hull, manufactured using Borealis’ Bornewables™ polyethylene based on renewable feedstock. On display to demonstrate how our high-performance pipe materials—such as BorSafe™ HE3490-LS-HW—deliver exceptional durability and sustainability in the most demanding marine and industrial environments.
Innovation That Starts in the Kitchen Featuring thoughtfully arranged samples, sketches, and display elements, this space brings to life how our materials support innovation, durability, and sustainability in everyday living. Explore items from our Consumer Products and CES portfolios – all staged around a Kitchen concept.
Energy Cable Solutions – Powering a Connected World Explore advanced materials for low-, medium-, high-, and extra-high-voltage cable applications – engineered for durability, reliability, and performance, even in demanding environments like underwater. Discover Stelora™ EPN, a breakthrough sustainable engineering polymer for film capacitors. And get inspired by our upcycling pillar, showcasing how mixed plastic waste is transformed into high-quality cable jacketing.
Pipe and Infrastructure Display We’ll feature over 15 pipe samples showcasing durability, efficiency, and the versatility of our polyethylene and polypropylene pipe range - designed to meet the needs of modern infrastructure with long-term performance and recyclability.
Daploy HMS PP Foam Learn how our high-melt-strength (HMS) PP enables lightweight, rigid foam applications across packaging, automotive, and building industries. Production scale-up is underway to meet growing demand.
Footwear Midsoles – Renewables-based EVA in Action Discover a midsole made from Bornewables™ EVA - featured in the latest On Cloud 6 shoe. Made with renewable, ISCC PLUS-certified feedstock, the new grade delivers the quality and durability required by the footwear industry - while enabling a midsole with a 45% lower carbon footprint than one based on traditional fossil-based materials.
Healthcare Applications – Sustainable Innovation in Medicine Explore how our materials advance medical technology through real-world healthcare applications—ranging from injector pens to IV bags. A key highlight: the Protect™ Video Laryngoscope, developed with Sanitas Healthcare and made using Bornewables™ polypropylene, cutting plastic waste by 25% while maintaining full clinical performance.
Solutions for Polymers Get inspired by our advanced portfolio of materials for compounding and polymer modification. Spirit corks made from Queo™ plastomers showcase how renewable feedstock can replace fossil-based materials without compromising performance. Another standout is a bra cup made from LDPE produced using carbon capture technology, demonstrating how captured CO₂ can be transformed into valuable polymer products.
